| Description: | Construction of this restaurant in downtown Gatlinburg presented many challenges. JOSEPH Construction Company was responsible for the demolition and removal of existing structures and then rebuilding the new restaurant in a highly congested tourist area with no clearance between neighboring buildings, a city street and utilities at the front of the site. Additionally, there was no parking or lay-down area for construction.
Demolition and new construction were completed within a 6 month schedule, while maintaining pedestrian traffic in front of the building and keeping roadway easements open at rear. Heavy timber construction, a skylight over the bar area, and fireplaces are features of the interior. |
