Description
Use of design/build enabled occupation of this building only nine months after design began. Marriott consolidated its national financial processing operations into one facility, and had a short time frame for shifting personnel into a new location complete with state-of-the-art communication and computer systems. Design and pre-construction services incorporated considerations of material and labor availability in order to meet extremely tight schedules–nine months for design through occupancy. A project of this magnitude would typically require 14 months to complete design and construction.
The interior of the brick and pre-cast building has an open office plan, accented by angular and undulating walls. The building includes two levels of open office space, team rooms, training areas and staff spaces.
