Knoxville — This month, JOSEPH Construction, Inc. celebrates 40 years as one of East Tennessee’s most successful general contractors.. With headquarters in Knoxville and branch offices in Sevierville and Johnson City, JOSEPH Construction has been recognized for their industrial and commercial construction expertise, as well as their services in disaster mitigation and reconstruction of damaged properties with their DCR and RECon Divisions. A wide range of clients have benefitted from JOSEPH’s expertise. Throughout their history, JOSEPH has won numerous awards for safety, design, construction excellence, and overall business practices.
Founder and CEO Joe Zappa moved to East Tennessee in 1969 as a young engineer with Alcoa, Inc., and started JOSEPH Construction in 1972. The company’s continued focus on serving clients in Tennessee “ensures JOSEPH employees get to go home to their families every night,” an early goal of Mr. Zappa.
Another early commitment was to turn-key services. Says Mr. Zappa – “JOSEPH was one of the first contractors in East Tennessee to use a team approach to design and construction. We still partner with owners and designers to create quality buildings that make their owners happy, with guaranteed construction costs and on-time completion. We continue to meet our goal – which is carved on a 10-ton block of marble by our front door – To be the Best. What else is there?”
