Kodak – Russell Stover Candies broke ground on their newest retail store, to be built in Sevier County. On hand were representatives from Russell Stover Candies, the City of Sevierville, and general contractor JOSEPH Construction Company, Inc. The new, 10,000 square foot retail store is located on Hwy 66 less than a mile from the 407 exit at I-40. Russell Stover has 39 retail locations across the country, and this location is one of three stores currently under construction.
In addition to traditional boxed candies, the local store will sell favorites such as candied and caramel apples, homemade fudge, baked goods, Blue Bell ice cream, and frozen custard. “We are glad to be expanding our retail operations in the Sevier market,” said Trey Magruder, Director of Store Operations. “There is a lot of excitement in this market for our products and everyone here is appreciative of our presence.” Russell Stover is the largest producer of boxed chocolates in the United States.
According to Jim Arwood, JOSEPH Construction’s manager for Sevier County operations, construction will be complete in October. JOSEPH Construction Company was founded in 1972 and operates from headquarters in Knoxville and branch offices in Sevierville and Johnson City.
