JOSEPH Honored to be Selected as the General Contractor for MVP

Magnum Venus Products (MVP) is a premier manufacturer of composite application equipment. The growing market demand for its products, as well as the large number of composite-related businesses moving to the area, solidified the necessity for MVP’s new 80,000-square foot manufacturing facility and administration offices in the Hardin Business Park in Knoxville, in the region known as Innovation Valley, TN. The business park is an easy drive to the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the McGhee-Tyson Airport in Blount County, TN.

“Economic development in our region is strong and we are fortunate to be one of the go to General Contractors to keep up with the demand for new buildings,” says Justin Marcus, President of Joseph Construction and Lead Project Manager for the MVP Project.
Joseph Construction was chosen to be the General Contractor in August of 2016 and has been working with Architect Barber McMurry on design and budgeting since then. The first phase of site work is now underway.
According to Marcus, “working with Barber McMurry is great. We know there will be no surprises and we’ve been partnering with them on projects for decades. The building they have designed is cutting edge in both performance and appearance.”
MVP is planning to hire 70 additional new employees to staff the new facility later this year.
Marcus added, “we love getting to see the fruits of our labor, and anytime we get to build for an industry leader like MVP, who is adding jobs and boosting the local economy, it is especially rewarding.”
Joseph Construction turns 45 years old this year and celebrates with MVP who is turning 50 years. Both companies are still family owned.
